I'm guessing that they're probably running the ap in closed mode. Are you
running dstumbler with a orinoco card or a prism2 in monitor mode? If you're
running in monitor mode, you should be able to see the ap and nodes as long
as there's some sort of management protocol activity (probe
request/response, beacon, etc).

Let me know if it's running in closed mode. If it is, and you're running
without a prism2 in monitor mode, it makes sense you aren't able to detect
it.

We don't use it, but it sounds really interesting. What location are you in,
and how much does it cost you? Also, I'm assuming they use some sort of
WEP/authentication? :-)
