alright, I changed the line in if_wi.c except the line was more like

if(!(ifp->if_flags & IFF_RUNNING) || !sc->sc_prism2)
so I just rid it of the !sc->sc_prism2 part

that fixed that issue...
another issue is that when I put the card into like led test mode for example, the light on my card will go solid, then I get a SIOCSPRISM2DEBUG: Conection timed out
and then I can't prism2ctl to do anything, I just get timed out errors like wi0: wi_cmd failed with 60

so it seems to be loosing the card, just courious why this would be happening...
also do you have any places to point for the firmware you mentioned? the only firmware I found was 8c2, which I don't think is what I want.
